It is with great pleasure that I announce the publication of Backup Integrity, another one of my Linux Magazine articles.
Not many people makes backups from their important data. Of the few that do, few take the steps necessary to guarantee that the data they are copying is good in the first place. Worse yet, barely any system administrator bothers to check if their backups are fine and have suffered no corruption during long term storage.
Backup Integrity shows some easy tricks that allow to accomplish these things with simple scripts and tools which can be run in environments of limited functionality - such as those existing in Live rescue media.
The review is published on Linux Magazine #258. You may find the article in Linux Magazine #258.
